Photography… I breath it, I dream it. Yes, I live it, I love it.
I am the fragrance
I am the voice of wandering winds
I am the sound of silence
I am the fusion
Creating an image where the subject isn’t seen, an image from nowhere, an image created just in thoughts and then recreated on camera. A process where one thought expands into a series of great value.
I call it “SPRITUAL ART PHOTOGRAPHY”
In my series “Journey of a Mystic”, I express the Sufi way of life. The intense visuals are a representation of the existential truth. I have tried to follow my being, in the state of a mystic.
I stay with the soul
I witness the present
This journey begins from a raw state of being to a state of pure bliss. To me, body is one end of the soul and the soul is another end of the body. It is therefore, a journey from god to god.
I am higher than the highest star
Deeper than the deepest ocean
Farther than the farthest point
The journey in search of the Divine takes me to various realms of an existential truth. Sometimes I stand still and wait for spring to come so that I can have the nectar of the gods. The very next moment everything changes and I am brought back to the basic state, a constant conflict of existential state. Transition from the state of BAQA to the state of FANNA and again back to BAQA.
From the unreal, lead me to the real
From darkness, lead me to light
From ignorance, lead me to knowing
Bliss that I witness but never can express.
With every theme I work on, the external expression may be different but the inner joy is the same. Be it a Sufi’s journey, Krishna’s Blue or Buddha’s Dhamma, they look poles apart, one standing in the middle of a great war and speaking on inner bliss the other is a simple weaver or Buddha sitting silently under the Bodhi tree, yet they all are spreading the same fragrance.
I sit not with holy men upon hill tops
I talk not of wisdom and it’s roads
I please not my god and my religion
I am a wanderer.. in search of my own.
